BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
Hello to all! It's been way too long since my last post (guess business in Texas is good). Well, no matter how busy things are, this post is necessary. It is with great pleasure that I announce effective July 15, 2013, Goes Heating Systems is now the official representative for PVi Water Heaters for the Houston and surrounding areas. From Beaumont to Brookshire, from Lake Livingston to the Gulf of Mexico, Goes will be able to provide high quality, high efficiency storage water heating from PVi.
PVi has a long history of providing "Engineered Water Heating Solutions" from right here in the great state of Texas with most products manufactured and/or assembled in Fort Worth. PVi has continued to drive the plumbing market with new, innovative designs. How does no anode rods sound? How about a 10 year tank warranty…STANDARD??? Or no tank lining??? True 99% thermal efficiency at full fire??? I promise you, this ain't yo daddy's PVi.
While they continue to offer the tried and true TurboPower and Power VT models, they have also moved into the 21st century with LDX2101, the "secret" behind the magic. AquaPLEX®, a lean duplex SS allows PVi to offer a vessel with no anode rods, 10 year warranty and no lining. Now, many other manufacturer's have offered stainless steel units in the past (and continue to do so today). These manufacturer's have uses some variation of 300 grade stainless steel, typically 316L (WARNING: Scientific content to follow). 300 grade stainless steel is an austenitic alloy combining various levels of Chromium, Nickel and Manganese. This is good for welding ability and opens up possibilities for a wide range of service temperatures. However, these alloys were not designed for the heating market; they were used for cryogenic applications. The downside to 300 grade stainless is it is susceptible to stress chloride cracking (spider web cracks) where heat and dissolved chlorides are present. So, as long as your city's water supply contains no chlorides, you'll be fine. If you're part of the 99.9% of the country that DOES have chlorides in the water (like Houston), maybe these units aren't for you. With the use of AquaPLEX®, no such issues exist. That's why we can double or triple the warranty of some manufacturers. PVi now offers AquaPLEX as an option on ALL vessels and combustion chambers, providing you and your customer with the highest quality unit in the market.
Ok, so now I've given you some background, now comes the fun part…specifying and purchasing!!! Gas fired, electric, dual fuel, solar/gas, steam/water, water/water, anything to do with making domestic water, PVi can do. And the best part is all of this can be down while complying with TCEQ's NOx emission requirements for the state of Texas and the Houston/Galveston region. I've included a link to their website to check out all that's available. There you'll see the Conquest (97% thermal efficiency at full fire, 99% at low fire, all at a
100 degree rise), more info on AquaPLEX®, applications, literature, YouTube videos and so much more. Call our Houston office and let us help you with your domestic water heating needs using PVi and AquaPLEX®!
